A practice measured in completed rooms rather than renderings. Each project below began with the same question — what does this place already know? — and ended with as little added as the brief would allow.
Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh · 2024
A riverfront plot five metres wide, opening east to the Ganga. The house turns inward around a lime-plastered light well for three floors, then releases entirely at the top — a single shaded terrace where the city falls away and only the river remains.
Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh · 2023
Eleven hundred square feet in a 1960s block, stripped back to the bare slab. Teak, unlacquered brass and oxide floors in three tones of grey-green. Storage is folded into the wall thickness so the rooms read as volume, not furniture.
Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh · 2022
Nine rooms set into a mango orchard, each a sandstone box with its own walled court. The plan leaves every existing tree standing — the buildings step around them, and the corridors are left open to the sky.
